ReplyDeleteyou should make your own pumpkin puree. it's really, really easy (although more time consuming than the can) but it is soooooo good! i've used the pioneer woman's recipe with great success! and i freeze it so i can enjoy it for months to come!

ReplyDeleteSo it's not just us in MN/WI without pumpkin either! I was shocked earlier this year when I went grocery shopping and asked "where is your pumpkin" to be told there was some crazy low crop of pumpkins last year and they said it would be bad this year too! What is Thanksgiving without pumpkin pie? You should stock up on the cans while they're out there and there could be a market on eBay if things keep looking like this! :)
